I remember the first time I visited a dog kennel. The owner was showing us the dogs, naming each one and telling us a little bit about them. I though he must be guessing most of the time because 3/4 of them looked the same to me. Now that we have our own kennel, visitors often say the same thing and I have to laugh. Dogs have such distinct personalities and quirks. and when you spend time with them up close, subtle differences in build and coloring. One greats you with a toy in her mouth for you to throw, one stands on his back legs and paws the air like a horse as if to say "me first". One stands back pretending to look bored until the crowd thins. Ones ears are a bit darker than anothers. Shy ones and clowns, sassy ones and playful ones. How can your day not be made better with a few furry friends to make you smile.
